Okay, you are now reading people's blogs and following certain news websites and it is becoming more difficult to keep track of everything. This is where a site like Google Reader can help to keep everything organized. According to wikipedia, RSS is dubbed Really Simple Syndication and it is a family of web feed formats used to publish updated works such as blog entries, news headlines etc. An RSS document or feed includes a full or summarized text. RSS feeds can be read using software called an RSS reader or aggregator which can be web-based. An example of a program to keep this all organized, is Google Reader which is very easy to set up, all you need is a google account and you can start easily accessing the blogs and news sites that you follow.

This symbol on webpages indicates an RSS feed and you simply click on it to add it to your list of subscriptions.
